Dear Supporters and Friends,
As a collective, we have decided to put a temporary hold on the Tumaini Initiative for 2023 and look forward to re-launching it in 2024!
The Tumaini Initiative is an innovative year-long technical textile design and self-development business training program that will provide dignified work in Kenya. By bringing more skilled workers into Kenya's workforce, the country's population will be able to support and employ one another, igniting a ripple effect movement of positive change. This, in turn, will break the generational cycle of poverty and create economic development and growth that will fight back against Kenya's widespread poverty.
As an organization, we remain committed to providing dignified employment opportunities, skills training, and holistic support programs that help artisans reach economic independence.
We look forward to continuing this journey together next year, and we thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and generosity.
With Gratitude,
The Imani Collective Team
