Grow With Data Youth Foundation First Quarter Report 2026.

Prepared by: Nnenna Mosugu, Founder.

Dear Valued Donor,

We are delighted to present the strides made by Grow With Data Youth Foundation so far in 2026. This year, we have directly engaged 200 students, 30 head teachers, and entrepreneurs across nine Local Government Areas in Adamawa State, Nigeria, reaching participants between the ages of 11 and 48. Your continued support remains instrumental in empowering individuals through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and personal development.

Key Activities & Outcomes.

Our financial literacy training sessions focused on budgeting and savings, equipping participants with practical money management skills. Every participant was introduced to structured budgeting techniques, and more than 80 percent demonstrated improved understanding of savings and financial planning through post-session feedback. Many reported increased confidence in making everyday financial decisions.

In commemoration of Global Money Week, we organized experiential learning activities, including an educational bank visit where selected Financial Literacy Club members gained first-hand exposure to banking operations. This visit helped students develop a clearer understanding of savings culture, financial services, and account management, while strengthening their confidence in engaging with formal financial institutions.

We also hosted the “Smart Money Talk” seminar, an interactive session featuring experts in real estate, forex trading, and investments. The seminar brought together participants from six schools, including tertiary institutions, alongside entrepreneurs and working professionals from all nine Local Government Areas. Attendees reported gaining new knowledge on how money works and practical steps toward financial independence. Real-life Q&A sessions allowed participants to address personal financial challenges and opportunities.

As part of our broader outreach, we delivered a radio program on “Tax Reform and Personal Finance.” This session simplified recent tax developments and explained their impact on individuals’ income, spending, and savings. Listeners were guided on practical steps to adjust their financial habits, including budgeting, managing expenses, and protecting income. While the exact number of listeners cannot be precisely measured, the program was aired on a regional FM station with coverage across Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe States, significantly extending our reach beyond in-person participants and engaging diverse audiences, including underserved and remote communities.

Our direct beneficiaries through in-person engagements totaled 230  individuals, while indirect beneficiaries through radio outreach remain unquantified but covered three states. The age range of participants spanned from 11 to 48 years, and our geographic coverage included nine Local Government Areas directly and three states indirectly. The diversity of our audience encompassed students, educators, entrepreneurs, employees, and community members.

 Early Impact Indicators

We observed increased awareness of smart money practices among participants, improved understanding of how tax policies affect personal finances, a positive shift toward saving and financial discipline, and greater confidence in financial decision-making.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming Events

These activities represent an important step toward our broader goal of building financially informed and economically empowered communities. In the coming months, we plan to expand outreach to more schools and underserved communities, establish financial literacy hubs in tertiary institutions, strengthen and scale radio and media engagement to reach wider audiences, and train and provide start-up grants to qualified participants. We remain committed to equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions and build sustainable futures.

 Conclusion

Thank you for walking this journey with us. Your partnership fuels the hope, action, and transformation that define Grow With Data Youth Foundation. Together, we are shaping minds, building character, and cultivating the leaders of tomorrow.

Warm regards,

Nnenna Mosugu.
