Please help us raise money to drill for fresh water for our children and our community! TMSC is located in Western Kenya, Mukhonje village which has a total population of 500,000. Each year TMSC becomes a home and a hope to a child. Our children's home accommodates 70 children and we have 300 children in our school. Our license to drill the borehole expires in July 2015 and our goal is to begin drilling in January 2015 while the season is dry. We urgently need your help to make it possible.
Tumaini home, school and its vicinity have had a water problem for a long time. Tumaini has a manual dug bore hole which helps them with water and is shared with the neighbours. This borehole has water only during rain season and when rain is over it becomes a problem. Children have to wake up early to walk to the stream to get water before they go to school, which makes it difficult for their learning. This also has caused typhoid to our children from time to time as stream water is not treated
Having drilled water at Tumaini will be a success to not only the Tumaini family but to the community. this will reduce the water disease that our children get from time to time when we have no water. Water will be enough to share with the community members and our health will be improved. During dry seasons our children will still go to school early as they will have water. Water is life and it is not just water but clean water, this will change our community.
The project will changing the community member's lives and will sustain itself. Once the water is drilled and solars installed, the project will enable our youth to find employment maintaining the system and it will be a long term impact to the community, providing a source of fresh water that all can use. PLEASE HELP US WITH OUR GOAL TO RAISE THE MONEY WE NEED TO BEGIN DRILLING BEFORE OUR LICENSE EXPIRES IN JULY 2015. OUR AIM IS TO BEGIN DRILLING IN JANUARY 2015 WHILE THE SEASON IS DRY.
