Putting one foot in front of another

Using Borrowed Spaces for our Interns

Twelve months ago, we launched our Brick-By-Brick: Securing a Forever Home campaign on GlobalGiving, hoping to secure the necessary funding to establish a permanent base for the Mudita Foundation. While we have not yet been successful in raising funds through this platform, this has not dampened our determination or belief in our mission.

Recently, we hosted our first Serenity Fun Run, an event aimed at raising awareness and generating support for our work and this project. The event was a promising start, bringing in new partnerships and sponsors who now recognize and support our work. Additionally, we have actively approached corporate sponsors and have received a small but meaningful contribution from a South African corporate, which will be dedicated to our Forever Home.

Despite the challenge of not yet having a permanent space, we continue to put one foot in front of the other, adapting our strategies and expanding our outreach. Our commitment to embedding ourselves within the communities we serve remains steadfast, and we will not give up hope. Our programs continue to make an impact across the wider Cape Town area, ensuring that learners, educators, and families benefit from the vital mental health and scholastic support we provide.

The journey toward a secure venue is ongoing, but our resolve is stronger than ever. Brick by brick, step by step, we remain committed to building a future where the Mudita Foundation has a forever home—one that will allow us to serve even more communities in need.
