Dear supporters and friends,
In the middle of a hot summer in Europe, we would like to extend our warmest gratitude for your support of our efforts to make the world of science intriguing, accessible and appealing to everybody.
If it were possible to measure learning, curiosity and thirst for knowledge in numbers, the track record report for Muzeiko’s traveling exhibition "The Inventions" in Plovdiv would look like this:
Although accurate, the aforecited statistics cannot provide an estimate for the long-term impact that was made, as the playful, hands-on activities, carried out in the frame of the exhibition, encouraged children and adults to reflect on responsible use of natural resources. The interactive installations and workshops opened discussions about what each of us could do to combat negative climate and environmental trends. In times of critical changes, current and future scientists and citizens as a whole should make personal commitments to maintaining the ecological balance and guaranteeing social participation and well-being.
The staff of the Regional History Museum in Plovdiv, who were trained in presenting academic content in an engaging way to children and young people, feel professional contentment and vowed to persevere with this approach.
In recognition of these accomplishments, Muzeiko received financial support from EVN Bulgaria and Plovdiv 2019 Foundation, which operates the European grants allocated for the cultural program of Plovdiv European Capital of Culture 2019. Thereby, we secured funding for “The Inventions" exhibition’s remaining in Plovdiv until the end of this year.
It is with true happiness and satisfaction, that we are writing this final report for our Global Giving fundraising campaign “Science for Every Child. MUZEIKO in Plovdiv”. This opens up space for reflection and plans on our next “destination” along the road towards better education for all. The challenges are big and so are our dreams.
We hope to be able to stay in touch, as our ventures would not be possible without the help of people like you. In the meantime, you can follow the progress of our active project headed “Every kid deserves science” and particularly the newly launched outreach program Muzeiko@School. Also, you can visit our Internet and Facebook page for positive news and inspiration.
Sincerely yours,
Muzeiko team
