Dear friends,
In less than four full months after the official opening of our travelling exhibition "The Inventions" in Plovdiv, the number of visitors reached 5000!
Children from over 40 preschools and schools in Plovdiv and the nearby villages have had the chance to step into the shoes of great inventors. Not only did they learn about satellites, solar panels, antennas, but also left for home with their own satellite models based on the Rosetta mission. We are all looking forward to our next workshops on sources of light, stars and electricity.
In Bulgaria, one of the world’s fastest-shrinking nations, there is a significant gap between big cities and smaller towns and villages – not only in terms of financial wellbeing, but mainly when it comes to access to science and culture. According to a government report for 2016, sixty-three per cent of rural residents and 59 per cent in small settlements do not think they can get a good education there. With your help and our efforts, we can work towards changing this trend!
“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.“ (Clay P. Bedford)
With hope and determination,
Sincerely yours,
Muzeiko team
