ACDI plans to build a worthy kitchen for a small school located in an isolated community of Gran Chaco.
The Gran Chaco is one of the poorest regions of South America. Families live in isolated communities, crowed together in small houses without running water and electric power. Education is assured by the State but resources are tight and they are not enough to cover students' nutrition needs. The school of Pajaje Guemes has aproximately 50 alums, whose learning skills are undermined buy hunger.
This project will provide an equipped kitchen to the school in order to well-feed children and improve their learning abilities. It will also involve student's families and neighbours, who will be invited to participate to training and meeting about good nutrition and children's care.
The project will involve 50 students, their families and, as a consequence, the whole community. Once built, the kitchen will be aviable for future school generations and families.
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
