Dear Friends,
Greetings from Seva Mandir!
Many thanks for all your support. It is indeed very encouraging to have friends like you. A very big thank you once again from all of us here.
My colleagues in Health Program want to share with you a story of a little child who was suffering from ear infection. The nurse in our immunization camp helped this little child. The story is very inspirational as it also accounts the efforts put in by other people to make sure that the child's condition improves.
This all has become possible because of support from people like you. Thank you for helping these children and bringing health to their lives.
With warm regards,
Deepti

Raju, 4 yrs, is a resident of kadiya nala in village Demat (Kherwara block). He was suffering from ear infection since few days. His ear was discharging pus and it was accompanied with severe pain. His family members ignored his illness for some time until his mother brought him to an immunization camp conducted by Seva Mandir in Demat village. The camps also include treatment of childhood illnesses by GNMs (the nurse) apart from immunization. On examining Raju’s condition, the GNM advised his mother to consult a doctor and referred Raju to M.B. Hospital/Kherwara CHC (community health center). GNM convinced Raju’s mother for further treatment but she was reluctant to consult a Doctor. To stop the infection from getting worse, the GNM gave Gentamycin drops to Raju’s mother and advised her to use them regularly for Raju. Raju’s condition improved with continued use of the medication and his pus discharge stopped after a couple of days. His condition was monitored by local Balwadi Sanchalika (teacher at preschool) who ensured patient compliance. He was also followed up by the Health Incharge from Kherwara block who reported that Raju had completely recovered within a month’s time. Thats how Seva Mandir’s intervention prevented Raju’s condition from getting worse and cured his infection.
