A Child's Hope for a Brighter Future

Dear GlobalGiving Donors and Supporters,

Your generosity is more than a donation—it is a lifeline of hope, healing, and renewed strength for Yemeni children battling leukemia. Through your compassion and unwavering support, you are helping vulnerable children face life-threatening challenges with greater hope, while bringing comfort and relief to families struggling with the emotional and financial burden of this devastating disease.

On behalf of the entire team at Support Yemeni Society Organization (SYS), we extend our deepest gratitude for your continued commitment to our project, “Save Yemeni Leukemia Children in Yemen.”

Your kindness is not only supporting children in their fight against leukemia—it is restoring smiles, strengthening families, and giving young lives a renewed chance for a brighter future.

Childhood Leukemia Crisis in Yemen

Childhood leukemia remains a devastating health crisis in Yemen, with reported cases increasing from approximately 300 to 1,700. Leukemia accounts for nearly 33.1% of childhood cancers. Years of conflict, widespread poverty, shortages of essential medicines, and a severely weakened healthcare system have left vulnerable children struggling to access lifesaving treatment. Malnutrition further threatens their recovery, with studies reporting that more than 54% of pediatric patients were underweight at diagnosis.

For these children, every day is a fight for survival. Your generosity is helping turn fear into hope, suffering into smiles, and despair into renewed strength.

The Impact of Your Generosity: Bringing Hope and Healing to Children

Thanks to your continued compassion and generosity, the Support Yemeni Society Organization (SYS) team has remained actively engaged in supporting children battling leukemia and their families.

Over the past three months, your contributions have helped SYS implement several humanitarian activities at the National Cancer Control Center, bringing much-needed relief, emotional comfort, and moments of happiness to vulnerable children.

Your support has made a meaningful difference through:

  • Bringing Joy and Smiles: Distributing gifts and presents to children undergoing cancer treatment, creating precious moments of happiness and helping them feel loved, valued, and remembered.
  • Supporting Vulnerable Families: Providing essential food baskets to families struggling with the financial burden of their children's illness, helping ease household food insecurity.
  • Restoring Hope and Emotional Well-Being: Organizing recreational trips, psychosocial support sessions, and creative art activities to help children cope with emotional distress, express themselves, and enjoy moments of childhood despite their illness.
  • Supporting Lifesaving Treatment: Providing essential medications to children battling leukemia, helping reduce treatment-related financial pressures on their families.

Voices of Hope and Gratitude

Behind every activity is a child longing for a healthy future and a family praying for recovery. The following suggested quotations illustrate the experiences and gratitude that donor support can inspire. They should be replaced with actual beneficiary testimonies before publication.

A child receiving gifts and psychological support:

"Today, I feel so happy. The gifts and activities made me smile and forget about my illness for a while. Thank you for making us happy."

A mother receiving food assistance:

"Watching my child suffer from leukemia is heartbreaking. Sometimes, we struggle to provide food while trying to afford treatment. Your support has brought relief to our family and reminded us that we are not alone. Thank you for standing beside us."

A father whose child received medication:

"Every day, we worry about finding the medicines our child needs. Your generosity has eased some of that burden and given us renewed hope. We are deeply grateful to everyone helping our children fight this disease."

Your Generosity Is Making a Difference

Dear donors, your contributions mean far more than gifts, food baskets, medicines, or recreational activities. They represent hope for a sick child, relief for a struggling parent, and reassurance for families facing unimaginable challenges.

Every smile you help restore, every family you support, and every child you help access essential care is a powerful reminder that compassion can change lives.

Together, we are not simply supporting children battling leukemia—we are helping preserve their dignity, restore their hope, and give them a better chance for a healthier, brighter future.

How You Can Deepen Your Impact:

To continue implementing this humanitarian project, we warmly invite you to start a Monthly Donation. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way, and that is the best way to ensure an ongoing impact.

Spread the Word and Grow Our Community:

One last thing—sharing our project with your friends and family helps us spread the word about our work and continue to grow our community of supporters like you. We look forward to seeing your support. For any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Mr. Ahmed Al-Qadhi at alhosam82@gmail.com.

Warmest Regards.

Respectfully yours,

Ahmed Al-Qadhi/ Yemen
