We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.

In order to maintain the dignity and respect of women in the society, CHHASE has celebrated the women's day as a festival. Several programs on the women's day were held by the organization in various villages. More than 1500 women of different age groups participated in the programs. Well-known women members of the society inaugurated the program and lightening the lamp. The well-known women members of the society shared their story of success and their experiences in the program to inspire other women.They also shared their knowledge about how to face violence what all the actions to be taken.We felt it is the right place to discuss about women violence, sex abuse, rape etc to reach maximum people.

Recently, Tamil Nadu faced a mass sex abuse case. Around 200 girls and women were sexually abused, blackmailed and money was taken from the abused girls.The criminals raped/abused girls and women, videographed and threatened the girls that if they are not giving money, the video will be posted in social media. The girls felt it will be a shame for their family and they did not disclosed to anyone. This practice was continued for nearly 7 years. Now a brave girl, brought this to the knowledge of officials and everything has come in to the light.

Most of our girls and women face many violations, but they are not disclosing to society.But now we see a lot of confidence came to our women, if any such thing happen, they are ready to face it bravely.

This kind of braveness only can save them from any form of violence. We are now motivating not only our self group members, we create awareness to public also.

Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world today remains largely unreported due to the impunity, silence, stigma and shame surrounding it.

In general terms, it manifests itself in physical, sexual and psychological forms, encompassing:

• intimate partner violence (battering, psychological abuse, marital rape, femicide);
• sexual violence and harassment (rape, forced sexual acts, unwanted sexual advances, child sexual abuse, forced marriage, street harassment, stalking, cyber- harassment);
• human trafficking (slavery, sexual exploitation);
• female genital mutilation; and
• Child marriage.

CHHASE feel if women are given education, self-employment/ job security can give confidence to protect themselves from any kind of violence 

One our beneficiary said "Your support is enabling my training and livelihoods support expense. Now I am free from human right issue and will not be affected again by any abuse and exploitation.

I am a poor widow, belonging to Schedule caste. My confidence and life are developing now and I am now been well trained. I am now confident and feel secured to overcome any sort of abuse. This confident increased after my training and feeling that I will be self-sufficient and need not to depend on others. Thank you for helping girls, who are abused like me".
