Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world today remains largely unreported due to the impunity, silence, stigma and shame surrounding it.

In general terms, it manifests itself in physical, sexual and psychological forms, encompassing:

• intimate partner violence (battering, psychological abuse, marital rape, femicide);
• sexual violence and harassment (rape, forced sexual acts, unwanted sexual advances, child sexual abuse, forced marriage, street harassment, stalking, cyber- harassment);
• human trafficking (slavery, sexual exploitation);
• female genital mutilation; and
• Child marriage.

CHHASE feel if women are given education, self-employment/ job security can give confidence to protect themselves from any kind of violence 

One our beneficiary said "Your support is enabling my training and livelihoods support expense. Now I am free from human right issue and will not be affected again by any abuse and exploitation.

I am a poor widow, belonging to Schedule caste. My confidence and life are developing now and I am now been well trained. I am now confident and feel secured to overcome any sort of abuse. This confident increased after my training and feeling that I will be self-sufficient and need not to depend on others. Thank you for helping girls, who are abused like me".

A Warm Greeting from CHHASE India !! !!

Thank you for your generous support through GlobalGivingand we are Thankful to you from the Bottom of our Heart.

CHHASE is very proud to complete Successful 17 years and the organization has made its identity as Globalgiving Top Ngo for three consequent years.

CHHASE has celebrated its 18^th Anniversary Day on 26^th November 2018 this year. On this occasion, the staff and beneficiaries of the CHHASE organization celebrated this big bash with Neglected elders, tribal and rural children. They tasted cake, danced and enjoyed a lot in the celebration.
On the occasion of the Foundation Day, CHHASE distributed blankets to 35 poor homeless, so that they can protect themselves from the shivering cold. In addition to this, CHHASE enrolled 10 more New neglected elders to get food groceries every month. In order to provide better and sustainable livelihood to 5 widowed mothers, sewing machines were provided with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation. In memory of this day, 17 fruit trees were planted in a village in tiruvallur district and the participants took oath to keep the trees conserved.

The18th Anniversary Day was celebrated in 15 places where almost 1200 beneficiaries including Elder women, girls, men and children enjoyed the celebrations. The celebration also had importance as it was the Successful 17 years of CHHASE India.

CHHASE, in these 17 years, has worked for more than one and half lakh marginalized and deprived people in Tamil nadu. In order to make them self-reliant and empowered, the organization has put its significant efforts through several programs as vocational education, women empowerment, agricultural development, environmental conservation , educational development and sustainable livelihood and the organization still keeps putting its efforts for the same.

It is the guidance of GlobalGiving Foundation and the generous donations of all respectable donors that brings positive energy to us due to which our staff and volunteers are always ready to put themselves into action with dedication and devotion for the development and empowerment of the deprived community.
