The aim of project is to support medical facilities in Kherson who suffer from shellings. As Kherson is a frontline city, its infrastructure is constantly affected by shelling. As the energy infrastructure is often targeted, Kherson is often left without electricity, which critically affects the work of hospitals, where operations are constantly being conducted and there is a constant need for electricity. Therefore, it is important for us to ensure uninterrupted power supply for hospitals.
Kherson is one of the frontline cities of Ukraine that was under Russian occupation for 8 months and was de-occupied on 11 November 2022. However, Russian troops are very close to the city, which is why the city suffers from constant shelling from various types of weapons. In June 2023, the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which resulted in a large part of Kherson being flooded. Kherson is currently under constant shelling, so medical facilities need support.
The funds raised will be used to close requests from hospitals in Kherson. As Kherson's power system is often left without electricity due to shelling, hospitals are also affected, losing the ability to provide prompt medical care, perform surgeries and save lives. Thanks to the funds raised, we will purchase uninterruptible power supply stations for Kherson hospitals so that they have constant access to electricity.
The procurement and installation of uninterruptible power supply stations will help ensure the continuity of medical services, which is critical to saving patients' lives. The project will also improve the functioning of medical equipment that requires a stable power supply, reducing the risk of complications during surgeries and other medical procedures. In addition, hospitals will be able to better plan and coordinate their resources.
