It has been an exciting few months ehre at Save a Child's Heart! We welcomed two little girls from our latest partnership countries - Fiji & Myanmar! Abigail from Fiji and Hannah from Myanmar had an amazing time in Israel and were beloved by all.
Hannah was proud to show all of our vistors, volunteers and her peers her beautiful badge of honor - her scar!!
These children have brought our total to over 4,800 children saved from 57 countries!
But that's not all that has been going on: Save a Child's Heart was awarded the prestigious U.N. Population Award for our "outstanding achievments in population and health". This award is a big honor and applauds our efforts to saving children's hearts from all over the world, no matter their race, nationality, religion or financial status.
As Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of UNFPA said in her speech at the award ceremony, not only do we treat children, but we empower young people to share our mission and become a part of the life-saving work that we do. Our Young Leadership all over the world hosts events and screenings & start clubs on their campuses in order to raise money and spread awareness to others. Save a Child's Heart doesn't only save children's lives but we have built a community of leaders and healers, who work tirelessly to ensure that all children around the worl receive the proper health care that they all deserve.
Thank you for joining in on our efforts and for being a part of the Save a Child's Heart family!
