The tally is in and Save a Child's Heart has officially saved 4,600 children to date, with 345 children saved in 2017 alone. This amazing feat was accomplished thanks to the amazing work of our medical team at Wolfson Medical Center, who work above their call of duty to ensure all of these children recieve the access to care they all deserve.
The Save a Child's Heart medical team at Wolfson Medical Center have been with us since the very beginning, in the year 1995. Together, we have been able to save 4,600 children from 55 different countries and over 100 medical personnel.
Just like this one:
This is Nihlat from Zanzibar. Nihlat is a 4 year old girl from Zanzibar. She lives at home with her parts and older brother. Her congenital heart defect was discovered at 3 months old, when she was having fevers and breathlessness. Nihlat came to Save a Child's Heart and underwent lifesaving heart surgery. Last month, she returned home, happy & healthy!
Everyday, Save a Child's Heart is saving children just like Nihlat and giving them a second chance at life. Our wish for the year 2018 is to save even more children!
