At Joy Baby Care we are proud of the recycling we do: nothing is wasted.
We had a toy car that our babies had been playing with. When it got worn out, we recycled its tires to make the bases of stools. We have now painted them to make them child-friendly. I’m curious to see what the children find to do with them! Yes we are providing a child-care service for young single mums to enable them to work to find food. And yes we are also keen to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment in which the babies can flourish and develop their potential. We hope that showing the way with things like good child care, and even recycling; we will also influence our parents and care givers.
At the Joy Baby Care we are starting the year on a good note. Normally January is characterized by a lack of casual labour for single mothers because a lot of the employers are either away on holiday or have no money to hire services. This January seems to be a little easier and our babies are already beginning to return to us and we already have an average of three attending each day, freeing up their mothers to look for work, knowing their babies are safe.
We are also optimistic and curious about what God has in store for us this year. This is the year we are envisioning setting up a second Joy Baby Care project in the slum district of Kabiria, an area of very high need. We ask for your support to help us make this happen. Please consider joining our list of regular donors to give us the trust and confidence in planning ahead. Join us as we walk this phase as we seek to manifest the money and resources we will need. From Joy Baby Care, we wish you a wonderful year. Thank you for your support, which means so much to us.
May God bless you abundantly.
