Vidya Poshak's Library Services & Rural Book Banks

We are happy to inform you that with the generous help of the donors and volunteers the inflow of support to the needy meritorious students by Vidya Poshak continued for the current academic year also. We are pleased to inform you that the timely support-financial,library,etc to the needy students helped them to perform better of  their education.We   thank you all the donors for their  generous support since inception for this noble cause.

Bird’s Eye View of Activities:

• 18532 students utilised library services including the computer facilities during 2015

• More than 16678 books of their choice were issued  to the students.

• 2457 new books were procured  & 412 books were received as donation. Now we have overall around 80,000 books worth over Rs.1 crore.

• Around 500 new students enrolled their name as library members through our 6 library branches

• Online application facility for various exams is free for Vidya Poshak and registered member students

• In all the library branches workshop on Study SKills & Memory techniques were conducted for the Class 11 & 12 students. More than 300 students got benefit out of it

Highlights of last Qtr.

1. 12549 students visited and utilized the library facilities from our Central Library & 5 branch Libraries.
2. More than 5235 students given books of their choice including newly inducted.
3. Organized career guidance session of “What after PUC for PUC 2^nd year students of current year
4. Conducted workshop on how to prepare campus interview for non- professional degree students
5. 350 new students enrolled their name as library members
6. Online application & interned facility have been catering the students

Overall our 6 Branch Libraries and 28 Book Banks are been utilized by 20,000 students every year. All this is possible because of your support.
