In Ghana, many rural areas are saddled with major healthcare problems that deters development and nation building. Either healthcare facilities are absent or difficult to access and/or personnel are absent. Only very few rural inhabitants use the healthcare facilities available in the District because of poverty. DoctorsAct visits rural communities across the country providing free professional medical care with the aim of meeting the acute healthcare needs of these deprived inhabitants.

This DoctorsAct project seeks to visit these rural communities across the country, to provide free professional medical care with the aim of meeting the acute healthcare needs of the deprived inhabitants.
The project seeks to solve the following long term problems: i. Providing deprived communities with free and sustainable quality healthcare; ii. Conducting surveys to ascertain the main health challenges facing the people; iii. Educating the people on environmental and public health. iv. Supporting for the poor and improving quality of life.
