Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support in our mission to restore and protect vital ecosystems. Across many communities, lakes and wetlands are under increasing pressure from degradation, pollution, and unsustainable land use. These ecosystems are essential—not only for biodiversity, but also for livelihoods, water security, and climate resilience.
This project is focused on restoring 3,500 hectares of degraded lake shores, wetlands, and surrounding habitats. During this reporting period, we made steady progress through community-led restoration efforts, including reforestation, wetland rehabilitation, and protection of critical buffer zones.
Local communities have been actively engaged in planting indigenous tree species, removing invasive plants, and adopting sustainable land-use practices. These efforts are already helping to improve soil stability, enhance water retention, and support the return of native biodiversity. In several areas, communities have reported improved water quality and reduced soil erosion.
We have also conducted awareness and training sessions to educate community members on the importance of ecosystem conservation and sustainable livelihoods. By involving local stakeholders—especially youth and women’s groups—we are ensuring long-term ownership and sustainability of restoration efforts.
One inspiring example comes from a lakeside community where restored vegetation has begun to attract birdlife and improve fishing conditions, offering renewed hope for both the environment and local incomes.
Your support has been crucial in providing seedlings, tools, technical expertise, and community mobilization efforts.
We encourage you to continue supporting this important initiative. Together, we can restore more ecosystems, protect vital natural resources, and build resilient communities for generations to come.
Thank you for making this impact possible.
With gratitude,
Project Team
