Nothing moves a rescue into action faster than the words “we cannot guarantee anymore time.” That was the message we received regarding a sweet yellow tabby, named Roosevelt. He was light as a feather, had ringworm, a severely damaged eye, oily paws, and was somewhat lethargic. He was placed on the "Urgent List" due to the damage to his eye....which means if he isn’t rescued within 48 hours he will be euthanized.
New Beginnings Cat Rescue did rescue Roosevelt and he is flourishing in his foster home. He has gained some much needed weight and his ringworm is starting to clear up. Unfortunately, his sight does not seem to have improved. He continues to take his eye drops like a little trooper but there is a possibility that his eye may not regain vision and it may need to be removed. He’s got the softest fur which has gone from being dull to actually shining!
Roosevelt has a gentle personality. Wherever his person is, Roosevelt will be waiting. He waits outside the shower, at the makeup vanity, at the kitchen counter and at the door…he always knows where his people are and is always waiting for a hug.
Roosevelt is just one of many cats who have been given a new beginning. It is because you give to New Beginnings Cat Rescue, other cats waiting on the urgent list have hope that they too can be rescued within 48 hours.
Thank you for supporting New Beginnings Cat Rescue.
