Reducing the number of homeless cats is the ultimate goal of NBCR. Between January and the end of October, 250 cats and kittens were given a second chance for a happy beginning through New Beginnings Cat Rescue. When our volunteers visit the local animal shelter to take the cats tagged for rescue, it is quite obvious that the number of animals the shelter takes in far outweighs the number adopted. As you can imagine, it is very difficult not to be able to take them all. Your financial support will help us save more of these precious cats. Three kittens who were recently saved from euthanasia are Sofia, Tomato and Grayson.
After a cat or kitten is rescued, we look for signs of illness before they are allowed to mingle with the other animals. Many illnesses can spread like wildfire infecting the healthy animals and sometimes even spreading to humans. One particular infection is ringworm, which is not a worm but rather a fungus. A very special foster mom lovingly cared for 5 little kittens with ringworm. All of them are well now and 3 have already been adopted. The other 2, Cosmo and Taryn, are waiting for a loving home.
Together we make a difference in the lives of these sweet cats who would otherwise be subjected to illness, injury or an untimely death. Thank you so much for supporting New Beginnings Cat Rescue
