Soldier was originally adopted out last year. A very small number of our dogs that come up from the south do not do well in their forever homes, even after a thorough background check and matching process by our adoption coordinators. Soldier originally lived in rural Tennessee, then he found himself at Memphis Animal Services. He was a black pittie mix - a double hard to adopt! Luckily, Soldier was pulled from MAS by one of Paws New England's southern foster parents. He went through the appropriate health clearance and found himself in a foster home in October 2023. In December, he thought he won the lottery! Soldier had a forever home! Soldier was so excited to go to that home, but as the months went on, he just couldn't get used to it. It was in an urban location and he was a rural guy. He was used to the quiet but the noise from the city was making him wrestless. As he became more wrestless, he had les and less confidence in himself. In April, Soldier came back to Paws New England to find a new home for him. Soldier was lucky to find the perfect foster mom who helped him get his confidence back. Soldier went to an adoption event at a local farmers market where he caught the eye of who would be his new family. Soldier once again is at home, but this time, for good.
