It has been four months since we first posted our project and we are happy to report that we have received a total donation of U$338. Your donation supported the contraceptive implants and medical supplies of ten young women in the slums and poor communities in Metro Manila.
Linda and Rowena are two of the ten young women who we have assisted. Linda, 18, was accompanied by her boyfriend. Both of them are students. Almost a year in their relationship, they decided to use contraceptive. Linda chose to have a contraceptive implant so they can be safe from unplanned pregnancy, as their priority is to finish their studies. Meanwhile, Rowena, 25, has two children and has been in a live-in relationship for 9 years. She decided to get a contraceptive implant so she and her partner can plan the future of their family.
We hope to assist more Lindas and Rowenas in attaining their reproductive autonomy. Your support means a lot to Likhaan and to the young women we serve in the communities.
