Dear Friends,
Zikomo kwambiri! Because of you, we raised $2,478 and fed 86 orphans in Chinseu, Blantyre.
Our project is now Approved and Active on GlobalGiving - Project #63198.
Update on maize price:
At Chinseu market, 20kg maize is now 48,000 MWK in October. In January it was 30,000 MWK. Price went up because our maize dried.
Our Malawi bank rate today is $1 = 1,668 MWK.
So 48,000 ÷ 1,668 = $28.77. We use $29 for one child for 30 days to keep it simple.
With this updated price, we can be more exact for donors.
What is left:
We have 14 children still waiting. Plus beans and firewood. Total to finish our $3,500 goal is $1,022.
If 35 people give $29 on GivingTuesday Dec 2, we will finish and feed all 100.
The girl in the green plate is one of them. She is waiting every day. Because of you, she will eat.
Thank you for growing with us. Your old gifts fed children. Your new gift will finish the job.
With love,
Noel & Chinseu CBO
