Recycle 10t of Plastics & Support Entrepreneurs

We are excited to announce new initiatives, new projects and new possibilities ahead! And all of this is happening without major support from corporate and institutional donors. We began a challenge with our microentrepreneurs seeking to motivate them to daily register their financial numbers and monthly inform total sales and total costs. This simple routine will show them all that goes on with their small businesses and the income that they really receive from it. We are also beginning a project for microentrepreneurs which sporadically contact us wishing for support. This project will be called Dom de Começar and will offer the participants online training and individual mentoring. Finally with the support of 021Originals, from the US, we will begin supporting mother+teenager with online training, seed capital, mentoring and more. The teenager will receive training needed for new job opportunities while the mother will receive entrepreneurial training.

We are also finishing up the planning of an exciting project involving a small solar energy plant in a favela slum community in Rio de Janeiro and digital inclusion and entrepreneurial training. This is part of a grant opportunity we are participating in. The project will be submitted in the next few days and if we are awarded we shall begin the project in 2026. This is something new and exciting since if involves renewable energy and entrepreneurial training and social work for low income families in a low income community.

Our organization is moving along in spite of the difficulties we are having with fundraising. We were invited by the International Labor Organization (ILO) to be trained in a new training program called "Women in Digital Businesses". This is funded and supported by Microsoft Philanthropies and aims to teach low income women entrepreneurs from all around the world the basics of the digital and technology world as it applies to small businesses. We were the only organization from Brazil being trained and several other organizations from other latin american countries were also present. We look forward to executing exciting projects in the months to come!

Our partnership and new Program involving training teenagers and young adults for the job market is also moving ahead and we are planning on posting a new project on GlobalGiving exactly along these lines. This new Program goes hand-in-hand with our main program involving Entrepreneurial Support, as a single mother can need entrepreneurial training and her teenage kids may need training to enter the job market. A same project can have both of these supports.

And our two ongoing projects are also moving ahead and should come to a conclusion in the next 4 months. We look forward to starting new projects and we count on your support for that!

Nossa organização está avançando apesar das dificuldades que estamos tendo com a captação de recursos. Fomos convidados pela Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT) para sermos treinados em um novo programa de treinamento chamado "Mulheres em Negócios Digitais". Este programa é financiado e apoiado pela Microsoft Philanthropies e tem como objetivo ensinar mulheres empreendedoras de baixa renda de todo o mundo os conceitos básicos do mundo digital aplicados a pequenas empresas. Fomos a única organização do Brasil sendo treinada e várias outras organizações de outros países latino-americanos também estavam presentes. Estamos ansiosos para executar projetos interessantes nos próximos meses!

Nossa parceria e novo Programa envolvendo treinamento de adolescentes e jovens adultos para o mercado de trabalho também estão avançando e estamos planejando postar um novo projeto no GlobalGiving exatamente nessa linha. Este novo Programa anda de mãos dadas com nosso programa principal envolvendo Apoio Empresarial, pois uma mãe solteira pode precisar de treinamento empreendedor e seus filhos adolescentes podem precisar de treinamento para entrar no mercado de trabalho. Um mesmo projeto pode ter ambos os apoios.

E nossos dois projetos que estão em andamento também estão avançando e devem chegar a uma conclusão nos próximos 4 meses. Estamos ansiosos para começar novos projetos e contamos com seu apoio para isso!
