Ukrainian Red Cross will help rebuild the biggest children's hospital in Ukraine that was damaged in a russian missile attack on July 8th, 2024.
July 8, 2024, has become one of the darkest days in recent Ukrainian history. Russian missile hit the biggest children's hospital in Ukraine. Over 600 children with complex diseases used to receive care in this facility. They included kids with cancer, heart conditions, spinal traumas, and other difficult problems.
The Ukrainian Red Cross will be directly involved in both the reconstruction of the hospital compound, and in a long-term supporting the victims of the attack. The project will be implemented in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Okhmatdyt (the children's hospital), and the Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.
Hundreds of Ukrainian kids with life-threatening conditions will regain access to lifesaving treatment in a renovated and well-equipped facility. The victims will receive a comprehensive medical and psychological support to fully recover from this tragedy.
