This project will rebuild and restore schools in Ghana that have been damaged or destroyed by flooding. Many flood-affected communities experience severe disruption to education when classrooms, learning materials, and school infrastructure are damaged. This project will help restore safe learning environments so children can return to school quickly and continue their education without long-term interruption.
Flooding in Ghana often destroys school buildings, classrooms, furniture, and learning materials, forcing schools to close temporarily or operate in unsafe conditions. This disrupts education for children, increases dropout risks, and affects academic performance. Many rural schools lack the resources needed to repair or rebuild after disasters.
This project will support the reconstruction and repair of flood-damaged schools, including classrooms, roofs, desks, learning materials, and basic sanitation facilities. It will prioritize affected rural and underserved communities to ensure children can return to safe and functional learning environments as quickly as possible.
The project will restore access to education, reduce school dropout rates, and improve learning conditions for children affected by floods. Students will benefit from safer and more resilient school infrastructure. Over time, the project will strengthen educational continuity and disaster resilience in Ghana's school system.
