In December, Wildlife Alliance’s Kouprey Express Mobile Environmental Education Unit (KE) was invited by Winrock International to conduct wildlife lessons in Kampong Thom, Cambodia under USAID’s Supporting Forests and Biodiversity (SFB) project. Thanks to this important collaboration, KE was able to expand their outreach efforts and spread our conservation message to 191 students and 624 community members in Kompong Thom province. Through lessons and activities, the Kouprey Express works with communities to raise awareness on conservation issues and laws, reduce demand for wildlife, and positively influence attitudes and behaviors towards the environment. The team’s visit was also recently highlighted in a project snapshot by Winrock International.
The December activities are the first of three collaborations with SFB, and the other two events are scheduled for February and March. We are excited to be working with USAID's SFB project to expand our reach in providing conservation education, and look forward to the continued partnership.
Thank you for helping the Kouprey Express continue to spread environmental awareness in Cambodia and inspire a generation of conservation stewards!
