The Ramadan Food Distribution project, implemented by Elaf for Relief and Development (Elaf RD), aimed to support vulnerable families in Syria during the holy month of Ramadan by ensuring access to essential food assistance. Through this intervention, a total of 1,000 food baskets were distributed to vulnerable households, including internally displaced persons, returnees, female-headed households, and families with persons with disabilities.
Each food basket contained essential items sufficient to meet the basic nutritional needs of families throughout the month, helping to ease financial burdens during a critical period. The project followed a transparent, needs-based targeting approach to ensure assistance reached the most vulnerable groups.
As a result, the intervention significantly improved food security, reduced economic stress, and enabled beneficiaries to observe Ramadan with dignity. The project also strengthened community solidarity and provided timely humanitarian support to families facing ongoing hardship.
