This Eid al-Adha, the project seeks to uphold the spirit of compassion and solidarity by delivering Qurbani meat to 1000 vulnerable households in Syria, including internally displaced persons, orphans, widows, and persons with disabilities, who continue to endure the devastating impacts of conflict and economic instability. Through this initiative, we aim to restore a sense of dignity, bring moments of joy, and meet urgent nutritional needs during the sacred days of Eid.
Syria is experiencing one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises, with over 90% of the population living below the poverty line and widespread malnutrition, particularly among children. Years of protracted conflict, economic collapse, and repeated displacement have left millions of families unable to meet even their most basic needs. Internally displaced persons (IDPs), orphans, widows, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and food-insecure households are among the hardest hit.
Elaf RD will implement the Qurbani Project to provide fresh, Sharia-compliant meat to 3,000 vulnerable households in Syria during Eid al-Adha. Livestock will be carefully selected, slaughtered, and distributed under strict health standards. The project ensures safe, dignified food support for IDPs, orphans, widows, PWDs, and food-insecure families-promoting solidarity and compassion in a time of need.
Beyond immediate food relief, the Qurbani Project strengthens community bonds, promotes social inclusion, and supports nutritional needs. It fosters hope and resilience among displaced families and lays the foundation for ongoing recovery and humanitarian support in Syria.
