Report - We want to support 500 students to pass 10th Exams (#25865)

Dear Sir/Madam

The SSC improvement program aims to improve SSC results across all our schools. In order to achieve this, Masoom implemented bridge courses, provided quick fixes and 21 sets to students and exam material to the students which appeared for the SSC Exams in the year 2017-18. Masoom also organized extra classes and prelim examinations in order to provide them enough scope for revision of the syllabus.

Masoom did provide Quick fixes, which is a summary of the whole syllabus. This enables below-average students and those who have less time, to study the minimum required content enabling them to pass exams in a short time. All of these helped students get to practice for attempting the question paper.

SSC Material distributed in the last academic year:

21 most likely question sets: were distributed among 1343 SSC students across 59 schools.
Quick fix sets were distributed among 1018 students across 59 schools
1640 Question Papers to & 17880 Answer Papers were distributed across 59 Schools for prelims.
Study material and stationery like compass boxes; note pads, rulers etc were distributed across 4 schools supported by Thomas Cook.
1316 compass boxes and 1381 exam pads were distributed to the students in the month of March before final exams.

Outcomes: Exam Results:

SSC results for the year 2017-18 showed an overall improvement of 2.87% compared to the last academic year. This year’s overall passing percentage was 66.08% for students across 59-night schools as opposed to an overall pass percentage of 63.27% in the academic year 2016-17.

Two schools namely The Kannara Vidyadaini (Fort) and Gurunarayan Night High School (Santacruz) secured 100% pass results.
The first three toppers so far from Masoom adopted night school are as follows:
Rank 1 - Parab Deepali Suresh - Janata Night School - 88.20%
Rank 2 - Sargar Maya Aba - New Era – Chembur - 88.00%
Rank 3 - Chavan Abhay Prakash - Model- Dongri - 84.40%
