Repair water lines
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing safe water for poor families. This month is the onset of the dry season and traditional water sources such as wells are beginning to dry-up. There is a need to conserve water and one of the ways we usually do this is to repair broken-down water lines. Some of the water lines are exposed to nature and they are easily destroyed by usual farming activities done by villagers. This reporting period, we guided villagers from 2 villages to repair water lines and provide basic repair kits that are badly needed. We aim for water to continually flow to the village in this way. We hope to prepare other villages in this manner. Again, thank you very much for your help.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre

Field assessment
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing safe water for poor families. One of our advocacies and strenght is provision of water to villages by tapping and utilizing existing water sources such as rivers and streams and protecting water sources such as watersheds by the planting of trees. This reporting period and in preparation for an expanded tree growing initiative that we will be doing as part also of our targeted climate change mitigation and carbon credit project, we conducted site surveys in 3 mountain villages with the plan of identifying good water sources that we can tap. Next reporting period we will focus on developing partnerships in order to jumpstart our tree growing initiative. Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre

improving water sources
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative providing water for poor families. Our water system initiatives include developing mountain sources such as springs and rivers, harvesting rainwater using containers as well as protecting watersheds and water sources. Water is becoming scarce due to climate change and lack of trees to hold rainwater runoff and the need to conserve water is important. During this reporting period, we did an assessment in the mountain villages in order to improve water sources by engaging small farmers to grow trees and then nurture the trees that they grow. The problem with tree growing in the past is that trees planted are not taken cared of and they disappear. Money is lost in this manner. This reporting period we are able to survey 3 mountain villages in order to look for areas to conduct our tree growing activities. Your support in much needed. Thank you very much.
Very truly yours,
Cora Sayre
