Providing Safe Water for Poor Families

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing safe water to poor farming families. During this reporting period we are happy to inform you that we are selecting the improvement of local water sources by the promotion of agro-reforestation or the planting of food and tree crops as well as the raising of animals in order also to improve the income and livelihoods of upland inhabitants. The failure of past water enhancement activities in the past is that water sources are not protected and enhanced resulting to massive flooding and siltation and poverty both in the upland areas and the lowlands. We are able to assist 75 farmers during this reporting period and we hope to increase our reach in the coming months. Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative. Thank you very much.

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing safe water for poor families. During this reporting period, we focus our attention to the continuing of area assessment and survey in order to implement this project. We have decided that we will pool our resources to the recent communities devastated by Super Typhoon Odette/Rai as this needs most attention. We intend to stay in 2-3 pilot villages in Odette-affected communities for a period of 3 years in order to implement recovery efforts comprising safe sanitation, provision of water and food security. Your assistance is indeed very timely and hoping that we will be able to report concrete gains in our next report. Thank you very much.
