This project will provide wheelchairs for 400 children with disabilities in Ghana to improve mobility, independence, and access to education and healthcare. Many children with physical disabilities are unable to attend school or participate fully in daily life because their families cannot afford mobility equipment. This project will help vulnerable children move safely, participate in community life, and improve their quality of life.
Children living with physical disabilities in Ghana often face major barriers due to lack of mobility support. Without wheelchairs, many children remain isolated at home, struggle to access healthcare and education, and experience social exclusion. Financial hardship prevents many families from purchasing proper mobility equipment for their children.
This project will provide durable wheelchairs and mobility support for 400 children with disabilities in underserved communities. It will also include basic caregiver guidance on wheelchair use and maintenance to ensure children benefit safely and effectively from the equipment.
The project will improve mobility, increase school attendance, and enhance social inclusion for children with disabilities. Beneficiaries will gain greater independence and better access to healthcare, education, and community activities. Over time, this project will help reduce stigma and improve opportunities for children living with disabilities in Ghana.
