Your donations are strictly utilized for providing free eye check-up in the camps followed by cataract surgery to the needy & poor patients. We hope you will enjoy reading the remarkable change made in the lives of beneficiaries through your contribution. In this concern herewith we are sharing two success stories and feelings of the beneficiaries.
Case Story of Anarwa
Anarwa is 65 years old women lives in Virajpur village of Chatra District. She lives with her husband. She had only one son but few years back she lost her son in a car accident. Her son was working as a labor . After death of son life gone under the big trouble. Her husband is also a cancer patient so he is not doing any hard work. There was no any source of income. Her both grand son left school due to money problem. She was upset but didn’t tell anything to others. She thought to do some work to survive and has started brick making work in her village itself. All day she had to work in sun and dust. She always felt tired. Labor work was not possible at the age of 65 but there was no other option to survive.
One day she felt that her eyesight is diminishing. She also felt headache and watering from eyes. She was not able to work under the sun. Employer used to scold her all the time. Every day she could get Only INR 150/=Due to taking responsibilities of her grandson it was not possible to stop work. Someone advised her for eye check-up but she was unknown for Doctors fee, diagnosis charge, medicine etc. So she was too anxious.
An eye screening camp was organized in her village by LNJP eye hospital. Eye screening camp was just 500 meters from her house. She was able to attend. There she was diagnosed with cataract at final stage needed for immediate surgery.
LNJP eye hospital camp team took her by bus safely to hospital on surgery date. They gave effective care to her in every means. She was operated at LNJP eye hospital. Day after surgery she saw new sun and It seemed as if her life started new way. She became really very glad and grateful to LNJP Eye Hospital.
Now her employer is also happy because she is working properly as per requirement. Two grandchildren were admitted to school again and brought the book for them. The most joyful thing she is able to see and recognize the pictures even her grand children book. Children also are happy .They asked some funny talking’s with her also. She wishes to the hospital management. She wants more blind people to look back with their eyes.
Another Second Case of Tapeshwar is that he is 55 years old man from Goriya Village in Jharkhand. He lives with his wife. They have five sons and all are married and live separately. All are settled and happy with their family but there was no one to care them. After marriage all sons demanded the part of their property share. He shared everything among sons except a small patch of land. Gradually sons continued to neglect parents. Even they were waiting to someone to give meals to them, many nights they have to sleep an empty stomach. One of grandson used to give some food at some time. When all hope was gone then they took the decision that they will earn money from doing cultivation work in the small patch of agriculture land and started work there. They cultivated different types of vegetables and grains but doing agriculture work at the age of 55 it was not easy to do continuously. Marketing, storage, proper caring on time etc were the major problems for them due to low visioning issues at old age. After deducting all the expense, profit was also not enough to fulfill the daily requirements. One day Tapeshwar felt that his vision is going too low. All things would look like a muddy and dark . He could not work properly. One day some local person told him to consult with any eye doctor but he thought how he would meet the high fee of the doctor and medicines. His wife requested to all sons for treatment but he did not find positive response.
In between eye screening camp was organized in his village by LNJP eye hospital . He attended in the camp and decided to do cataract operation.
LNJP eye hospital camp team brought him and admitted in hospital. Operation became success and he got back his new vision again. Now he is doing all day to day work in vegetable field and getting fare price of agriculture products. He says that LNJP and supporters is his real son who provided the facilities which own sons did not did that. He is sincerely grateful for that. Now both wife and husband are living happily.
The color of life filled with confidence and independence could not be possible without your generous support. We whole NBJK and the whole group of beneficiaries convey my gratitude to all of you. We hope our commitment will fulfill their life with dignity and self-reliance.
