Thank you to all of you! We're really excited to announce that we hit our first target of 1,000 Tutudesks. Also, we're thrilled to be able to support some of our friends in South Africa with these Tutudesks. Some of you may have come across Daktari on GlobalGiving. They are a wildlife orphanage and, more importantly for us, a bush school. They work with 2 local schools in particular and give their children the opportunity to spend a week at Daktari, learning about the wildlife in a big five game reserve, their environment and also getting some one-to-one support with their key subjects, such as english and maths. The 1,000 Tutudesks will ensure that every child at their 2 partner schools receives a Tutudesk and there will be a few left over so that Daktari can use them with their students as well.
Not only are Daktari also active on GlobalGiving, but our Tutudesk UK CEO has visited them in the past and so has seen their work first hand. We're really pleased to be able to connect everyone together with this donation.
We'll bring you news of the handover in our next report, but for now I hope you'll take the opportunity to check out the wonderful design that Daktari have created and also do have a look at the link to our facebook page, where Daktari have included a series of photos demonstrating the design process.
Moving forwards we have now raised the target to 2,000 Tutudesks so please do continue to support us to provide children with their very own Tutudesks. We're looking forward to bringing you more stories.
Thank you!
