Provide 2,000 Tutudesks to children in Africa

Thank you all for supporting our first GlobalGiving project. We were set the challenge of raising $5,000 in September in order to be given a permanent place on the GlobalGiving site. Through your incredible support we acheived the target and we're well on our way to reaching our project goal.

We've now raised $10,677, which is enough for 677 Tutudesks! Our goal is to reach $16,000 so that we can provide 1,000 children in South Africa with Tutudesks. Please continue to support our work and spread the work over the holiday season.

As we hope that you're aware, our work covers the whole of sub Saharan Africa. The photos with this report come from some recent schools visits in Ghana. The children were so excited to see and use the Tutudesks. Although the school had some traditional desks, many were broken, and also very few of the children had a table to use at home, so they loved the idea that they could take their Tutudesk home for their homework.

Remember, every $16 that we receive will ensure that 1 child receives their very own Tutudesk. This will immediately improve the quality of their education and it will possibly be the first new 'anything' that they've ever owned.
