Provide Textbooks for Children in Liberia

We say thanks to our donors for all the contributions that had been offered towards our students. We want to emphasize the critical need for more textbooks for our students.

With the upcoming school year approaching, the demand for textbooks is on the rise, and our students heavily rely on these materials for their studies. Having enough textbooks is essential for our students to excel academically and reach their full potential.

Your involvement in providing additional textbooks will play an essential role in enhancing the educational experience of our students. Providing these resources will make a significant impact on our students’ learning experience.

The previous textbooks have been a plus for our teachers. It aids them when they are making their lesson plans and notes in a standardized way, and the results of these textbooks have been very positive in the lives of your students. It has inspired our students to build more interest in both reading and research.

We believe together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of these students by ensuring they have the necessary tools to learn, and thrive academically.

The Carolyn A. Miller High School is faced with a lack of insufficient textbooks. This issue is causing a serious problem in our student’s academic performance. It makes it tough for our students to study and learn effectively.

It really stinks when schools don’t have enough textbooks for everyone, and Carolyn A. Miller High School is currently in this situation. One major challenge is the cost. Textbooks can be quite expensive, and our students cannot afford to purchase them.

Carolyn A. Miller High School is a tuition free institution that was established 2007, for the sole purpose of helping thousands of underprivileged children in Liberia.  Children, who are attending the CAMHS, cannot afford to buy their own textbooks.

Even though the administration provides textbooks for teachers to present their lessons, it becomes very difficult for them to cover the entire curriculum in a year.  Many of the teachers told the administration that it is easier to teach when there are textbooks available for the students. In addition, they also said, the lack of the insufficient textbooks can lead to time consumption.  

At Carolyn A. Miller High School, we believe it’s important for us to prioritize providing enough textbooks so that every student has an equal opportunity to learn and thrive.
