Child Rights International is one of our partners that helps us implement Cocoa Life, our cocoa sustainability program. This project will provide kits for young children between 2 and 12 years old, as well as teaching and learning materials for schools in Cocoa Life communities in Ghana. The kits, which contain books, pens and pencils, will enhance children's learning experience and support them to develop to their fullest psychological, social and physical potentials.
The supply of early childhood development kits as well as teaching and learning materials in schools is insufficient. In most schools, caregivers and teachers have little or none to use to support children's development needs. Most parents in the project communities are farmers who depend on a seasonal income and so children go to school for most part of the year lacking basic school kits such as pens, pencils, crayons, books etc which invariably impairs their learning experience.
The funds raised for this project will provide support for school supply kits that will be distributed to children in Ghanaian communities that are part of the Mondelez Cocoa Life program.
This project supports CRI's commitment to children realizing their worth and full potential by providing needed school materials that help students to fully capitalize on their school experience.
