This project will provide essential dental care services for 1,000 children in Ghana to improve oral health, prevent tooth decay, and treat untreated dental conditions. Many children in rural and low-income communities suffer from dental pain and infections due to limited access to dental services and poor oral hygiene awareness. This project will deliver screenings, treatment, and preventive education to improve children's overall health and wellbeing.
Dental health is often neglected in many parts of Ghana, especially in rural communities where access to dental clinics is limited. Children frequently suffer from tooth decay, gum infections, and untreated oral pain that affects eating, concentration, school attendance, and overall quality of life. Lack of preventive care and awareness worsens the problem.
This project will provide dental screenings, basic treatments, pain relief care, and oral hygiene education for 1,000 children. It will also distribute toothbrushes and toothpaste and conduct community awareness programs to promote better oral hygiene practices among children and families.
The project will reduce dental pain and infections, improve school attendance, and promote lifelong oral hygiene habits among children. Beneficiaries will experience better health, confidence, and quality of life. Over time, this project will strengthen preventive dental care and reduce oral health disparities in Ghana.
