We remain forever grateful to the GlobalGiving Community and other direct funders who are partnering with St. Francis Training College Nyamonge to bring a change in this part of the world. Working towards making our environment learner friendly, we envision every opportunity nature presents as a milestone to achieving our goal in providing safe clean drinking water to over 1800 Nyamongeans.
Gratefully, we wish to report that the trees planted so far are doing very well and the college is becoming aesthetically beautiful. With the availability of water, we are able to plant more trees, perhaps to make a little forest at St. Francis. This is in keeping with the dream to use the environment to tame the brain, as suggested by Eric Jensen in his Brain-based research, to maximize teaching and learning. A well-planned learning environment stimulates learning and helps reduce indiscipline problems.
Even though there was no disbursement for our September Little by Little Matching funds, we received direct funding from other funders. That has kept our project on course and on target with the original plan.
With the direct funds, we have installed a Hybrid Solar Pump that will help keep the water supply on campus as needed. This has helped the College realize its goal to engage in cost effective measures in running its activities. Therefore, it reduces the usage of the Kenya Power and Lighting Company to as a buck up only.
The College remain focused on keeping its presence alive in the GlobalGiving Website and uses the available opportunity, to not only Provide-Clean-Water-To-Over-1800-Nyamongeans, but also to help transform this Community.
