Even as we make baby steps, we are pleased with the numerous opportunities accorded to us to participate in GlobalGiving Fundraising. St. Francis buys heavily into, and view itself as an open system with its guiding principle of negative entropy. Ideally, the changes made this far by drilling a borehole have unveiled numerous opportunities on how we can design our learning environment.
Being a learning institution, this, perhaps, is the single most important artifact to help bring change in the society. St. Francis intends to adorn its learning environment with carefully identified trees, strategically planted to impact the learning process.
Brain-based research suggests that well-planned learning environments stimulate learning and reduce indiscipline problems. Such an environment help strengthen neural connections, aiding long-term memory and keeping learners engaged in their learning.
With the availability of water in abundance, to date, we have planted over 1000 trees and earmark to plant additional 2000 exotic breeds at St. Francis Training College Nyamonge.
We are pleased to inform you that besides the overall goal of drilling and equipping our borehole, the college is already developing several study squares adorned with trees. This has been made possible with the availability of adequate water Supply, thanks to GlobalGiving platform for bridging budget deficit, see Table 3 below.
The College treasures its presence in the GlobalGiving Website and will work towards exploiting every opportunity available to help Provide-Clean-Water-To-Over-1800-Nyamongeans. We envision this trickling down to our Nyamongeans Community.
We feel privileged to work with you!
