As education is a vital factor for the children who are regarded as the future hope, BFD appeals for assistance to provide 1000 schoolbags, chair and desk, uniform and meals for schoolchildren in Amran governorate. We envision education as a means of empowering the city to overcome poverty, which is one of the sustainable development goals.
Yemen is facing a severe education crisis, with the number of children going through disruptions to their learning could rise to 6 million-leading to tremendous long-term consequences for children. Lack of basic need for schoolchildren is a significant problem where they dropped out from school because of poverty, insecurity, malnutrition, or lack of access to quality education. Without urgent action, the situation will likely worsen as the region faces a rising demand for schoolchildren.
Distributing schoolbags for 1000 students will encourage students to go to school to study with motivation and they can easily find their belongings and stay organized. They can comfortably transport their supplies and personal items from class to class. Also, they can carry their belongings safely and protect them from water or damage. Finally, they will not be dropped from school, and they will continue their education.
Education projects are initiatives that aim to improve the quality, equity, and relevance of education in different contexts and levels. They are especially important in the wake of conflicts, which have disrupted the education system worldwide and affected millions of students, teachers, and families. Some of the possible long-term impacts of education projects are improving the quality and equity of education by using innovative pedagogies, technologies, and curricula.
