Title: 500 Wheelchairs Distributed Nationwide on World Disability Day
Summary
On World Disability Day, Alkhidmat Foundation organized a nationwide free wheelchair distribution, providing 500 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities across Pakistan. This initiative aimed to enhance mobility, independence, and dignity for individuals facing physical challenges.
The program reflects Alkhidmat’s commitment to inclusive humanitarian support and accessibility for all.
Story / Update
For persons with disabilities, lack of mobility aids can severely limit access to education, healthcare, employment, and social participation. Many families cannot afford wheelchairs, leaving individuals confined to their homes and dependent on others.
To address this critical need, Alkhidmat Foundation marked World Disability Day by distributing 500 wheelchairs across multiple regions of Pakistan. The distribution was carried out in coordination with local teams to ensure the wheelchairs reached the most deserving beneficiaries.
This support has enabled recipients to move independently, attend school or work, access medical care, and participate more fully in community life. Families expressed heartfelt gratitude, sharing how a wheelchair can be life-changing.
