Five months after the opening of our third center on the island of Negros located in Silay, the CAMELEON team is really excited to give you some news !
The clinic and the office are finally complete and the center was inaugurated in October 10th with the presence of Laurence Ligier, the French founder of CAMELEON.
Today, 20 girls are living in this new center and they all started school in june 10th. When school is over, they share time together and do their homework. We really want to build a solidarity spirit to make them feel safe and comfortable. They know they can rely on them and on the staff.
On the weekend, they all have some duty as dishes, laundry and cooking to empower themselves slowly but they also enjoy some free time with sport and games.
Besides the staff, a specialized team provides them medical and psychological care. They also receive legal aid if they decide to prosecute their attackers.
Everything seems to be going well in the new center !
