Thank you so much for supporting the work of protecting a community of vulnerability from the risks of Covid-19.
We have been working hard to continue to protect our community from the risks of Covid-19 and adapt to the changing situation on the ground.
Schools were beginning to be reopened in Cambodia in a staggered approach, and CCF students were attending schools in different ways. All CCF schools were opened to CCF students from 4th November - but shut down once again in the Phnom Penh and Kandal provinces for two weeks from 8th November, due to a number of confirmed positive cases amongst government members following a meeting with the Hungarian foreign minister.
Following a lack of positive cases two weeks on from the government meeting, the government has announced that all schools can reopen from Monday 23rd November.
However, schools were closed again indefinitely across the country from 30th November following several positive cases (community transmission). Grade 12 exams were canceled, with all students in Cambodia receiving a passing grade.
The opening of the new academic year 2020 - 2021 is tentatively due on 11 Jan. 2021.
We still continue to supply hand sanitizers, hand soap, and maintain hand-washing stations, taking temperatures of all staff, students, and community members before they enter CCF facilities, and ensuring families are equipped with masks.
Your donations have and will continue to allow us to ensure CCF students and families have the proper protective equipment necessary to prevent COVID-19, so they can continue to remain safe while continuing their education, whether in person or from a distance.
Thank you for your support during this tumultuous year.
Hope you remain healthy and well.
