We Keep Pushing to Reach Our Goal.
By ABI HENRY ACHAH | Program Coordinator
HUFAC-CAMEROON sincerely appreciates all supporters and donors of the project, “Enhance Menstrual Hygiene for 3000 IDPs in Kumba Cameroon.” Through the generosity of contributors on the GlobalGiving platform, we have successfully raised $4,707 out of our $45,000 goal, representing approximately 10.5% of the total project target. With these funds, we have been able to directly reach over 650 internally displaced girls and women, representing about 22% of the intended 3,000 beneficiaries, through the distribution of sanitary pads, menstrual hygiene kits, underwear, soap, and hygiene education materials. We have also conducted community sensitization sessions on menstrual health, personal hygiene, and stigma reduction in several conflict-affected communities within Kumba. As part of our upcoming activities for the International Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, HUFAC-CAMEROON is preparing large-scale awareness campaigns, school and community outreach programs, free menstrual hygiene kit distributions, educational talks, advocacy walks, and youth engagement activities aimed at promoting menstrual dignity and ending period poverty among vulnerable displaced women and girls. We remain grateful for every contribution received and encourage continued support to help us reach more beneficiaries and expand the impact of this life-changing initiative.

Menstrual Hygiene Has Improved.
By NGWA BEATRICE | Secretary
The project "Enhance Menstrual Hygiene for 3000 IDPs in Kumba" has made significant strides in improving menstrual hygiene among internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the South West Region Cameroon. With a goal of $45,000, the initiative has successfully raised $4,395 so far, positively impacting the lives of numerous women and girls by providing essential menstrual hygiene products, education on reproductive health, and access to safe sanitation facilities. Recent assessments indicate a 35% increase in awareness and hygiene practices among participants, demonstrating the project's effectiveness in addressing a critical need within the IDP community.
While progress has been made, there remains an urgent need for additional support to sustain and expand these vital services. Continued funding will enable HUFAC-Cameroon to reach more individuals, enhance educational outreach, and provide a greater supply of menstrual hygiene products to those in need. We intend to reach a 50% impact by our next report. We appreciate the generosity of our current donors and urge others to contribute to this important cause. Together, we can ensure that all women and girls in Kumba can manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

There's Significant Progress & Improvement
By ABI HENRY ACHAH | Program Coordinator
Project #60156, aimed at enhancing menstrual hygiene for 3,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Kumba, Cameroon, is making noteworthy strides towards its goal. So far, we have raised $3,875 of our $45,000 target, which equates to approximately 8.6% of the total funding needed. Despite the challenges faced in this region, we have successfully provided menstrual hygiene products and education to a significant number of women and girls among the IDPs, improving their health and dignity during a critical time. Our efforts have already reached 750 women, representing 25% of our target population, ensuring that those in vulnerable situations have access to essential hygiene resources. We are immensely grateful for the support received thus far and appeal for continued donations to help us bridge the gap towards our goal. Every contribution helps us to extend our reach and impact, ultimately assisting more IDPs in gaining access to necessary menstrual hygiene supplies and information. Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of these women and girls, empowering them to maintain their health and dignity. Together, we can work towards a future where menstrual hygiene is consistently supported and accessible for everyone in Kumba.
