On March 27, 2004, Lina´s life changed. She was only 4 months old and she was badly injured as a bullet hit her while resting in her crib.
The stray bullet entered Lina´s crib on accident due to an on-going combat between the Colombian Army and a guerilla group near her house in Buenaventura, Valle. Lina´s right leg had to be amputated to save her life!
Since she is 4 years old, United for Colombia through its program “A Step to hope” guarantees that she will have the adequate prosthesis for her age until she is fully grown. Thanks to your generous donation we can make this happens!
Nowadays Lina is 11 years old and with your support she will continue to live a fun and active childhood!
We invite you to watch a short video of Lina´s progress during the last 7 years:

Sincere thanks!
