United Way Nigeria has continued implementing the Promoting Inclusive Economic Growth and Development Program (PIE-GDP) in Konduga LGA, Maiduguri, Borno State. The project remains focused on supporting vulnerable and displaced families as they work toward rebuilding their livelihoods after years of displacement and economic hardship.
Over the past months, our team has been actively engaged in community outreach and needs assessments, listening directly to displaced and flood-affected families to understand their priorities and map pathways toward sustainable livelihoods. These engagements have helped strengthen relationships with local leaders, families, and young people who are expected to benefit from upcoming livelihood and vocational skills programs. In addition, United Way Nigeria organized volunteer engagement efforts and community outreach activities the reading corners, The Food Drive campaign and visits to schools.
We acknowledge that funding remains a significant challenge, and limited resources have slowed full program implementation. However, we continue to actively engage volunteers, community partners, and partners to mobilize the support needed to scale our efforts in Konduga and beyond.
We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who supports and believes in this project. As we strive to create stronger and more resilient communities in Nigeria, we look forward to sharing more progress shortly.
