This project will promote peace education in 20 schools in Ghana to help students develop skills in conflict resolution, communication, and peaceful coexistence. Many school environments experience conflicts, bullying, and misunderstandings that affect learning and student wellbeing. By introducing structured peace education programs, this project will create safer, more inclusive, and supportive learning environments.
Conflicts among students in schools can arise from misunderstandings, peer pressure, and lack of conflict resolution skills. In many cases, students are not taught how to manage disagreements peacefully, leading to bullying, fights, and disruptions in learning. This negatively affects academic performance, mental wellbeing, and overall school environment.
This project will introduce peace education programs in 20 schools through workshops, interactive sessions, and teacher support. Students will learn communication skills, empathy, teamwork, and conflict resolution techniques. Teachers will also be supported to integrate peace education into everyday learning, ensuring sustainability beyond the project.
The project will create safer and more peaceful school environments where students can learn and grow without fear of conflict. Over time, students will develop lifelong skills in communication and conflict resolution, contributing to more peaceful communities. The program will also strengthen school systems by embedding peace education into regular learning.
