Project Hunger Update
By Elaine Watson | Founder
![]()
Our Project Hunger has reached 3.4 million meals since the beginning of Covid lockdown. These meals are served through our 70 soup kitchens that receive dry food and gas from us on a biweekly basis. These kitchens feed hundreds of starving people in their communities.
We have also handed out over 140 000 sandwiches since starting our Love Sandwiches project in 2021. These sandwiches are given out to children at Early Learning Centres that we support. For some of these children it is the only substantial meal that they eat in a day.
At the end of last year we handed out 600 Buckets of Blessing to famiilies in need. These buckets were filled with non-perishable food items to bless families over the festive season. We had multiple festive handovers with extremely happy and grateful families receiving these Buckets.
Thank you again for your support!
Blessings,
The Love Story team

As we head towards the end of the year, we love taking a look back at the year past. We are very grateful for everything we have been able to achieve this year with your support.
Our Project Hunger has reached 3,3 million meals since the beginning of Covid lockdown. These meals are served through our 70 soup kitchens that receive dry food and gas from us on a biweekly basis. These kitchens feed hundreds of starving people in their communities.
We have also handed out over 116 000 sandwiches this year through our Love Sandwiches projects. These sandwiches are given out to children at Early Learning Centres that we support. For some of these children it is the only substantial meal that they eat in a day.
At the end of this month we will be handing out our Buckets of Blessing to hundreds of famiilies in need. These buckets are filled with non-perishable food items to bless these families over the festive season, which is often a desperate time for many. We look forward to sending you an update once these buckets have been handed out.
Thank you again for your support!
Blessings,
The Love Story team

Dishing up food at community kitchen
We want to thank our friends, family, and supporters for your continued assistance through donations over the COVID period.
At the beginning of lockdown, we embarked on what we expected to be an extremely challenging journey - to provide weekly ingredients to over 70 of our soup kitchens. Significant support began to stream in as our community came alongside us to help those in need.
Over the past 2 years, we have been hard at work amidst the economic crisis brought on by COVID. With your help, we have been able to serve over 3 million meals. Thank you to all who have made it possible to achieve this.
We have also been able to distrubute 44 072 sandwiches this year. These sandwiches go to early learning centres in the various impoverished communities that we support.
Blessings,
The Love Story team
